Duatlo Cross de Penafiel

The Madeira SwimRun is a swimrun race event taking place on October 19, 2025, in Machico, Madeira Island, Portugal. This event features three race distances: Standard (approximately 25.5 km), Sprint (about 11.4 km), and Super-Sprint (roughly 6.35 km), combining swimming and trail running segments.

The event is open to licensed athletes from various age categories, including individual and team participation, and is part of the 2025 SwimRun Portugal National Circuit as well as regional and national championships. The course offers challenging trails with significant elevation gain (up to 1,370 meters) and beautiful coastal and mountainous landscapes including the iconic Ponta de São Lourenço and Machico coastline.

The Madeira SwimRun presents a competitive and dynamic atmosphere, blending elite competition with a strong local and international athlete presence. The event also includes individual and duo formats, emphasizing teamwork and camaraderie in this demanding swimrun environment.

The Duatlo Jovem de Ferreiras will take place on October 19, 2025, at the Marina de Albufeira, as part of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo Youth Championship (7th Stage).
Organized by the Futebol Clube de Ferreiras, with support from the Albufeira City Council, Clube Areias de S. João, and the technical backing of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation (FTP), the event aims to promote youth participation in multisport disciplines through a safe and dynamic duathlon.

The race is open to young athletes born between 2008 and 2018, with distances adapted to each age group. It’s a family-friendly competition that combines running and cycling on flat asphalt courses — perfect for developing endurance, confidence, and teamwork among future triathletes.

The II Duatlo de Santo André will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Vila Nova de Santo André, within the municipality of Santiago do Cacém. This sprint duathlon is part of the Regional Championship of Lisbon and Alto Alentejo and includes both competitive and open categories.

Participants will tackle a 5km run, followed by a 19.5km bike ride, and finish with a 2.5km run, with the course set across the city’s urban and surrounding rural landscape. The event also features youth races with age-adapted distances.

This duathlon offers a competitive yet inclusive experience, bringing together licensed and one-day licensed athletes of all levels.

The II Duatlo Cross de Salir will take place on October 25, 2025, in the Parish of Salir (Loulé), as part of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo Championship.
Organized by the Associação Cultural de Salir, in partnership with the Junta de Freguesia de Salir, and supported by the Municipality of Loulé and the Portuguese Triathlon Federation (FTP), this off-road duathlon combines running and mountain biking through the natural landscapes of the Algarve interior.

The event includes two races:

• Duatlo Cross de Salir (Sprint Distance) – 6th stage of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo Absolute Championship.

• Relay Race (Team Event) – Sprint distance for teams of two or three athletes.

It’s an exciting and challenging event that blends sportsmanship, community, and the rugged beauty of Salir’s terrain — perfect for duathlon lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
