In parallel, there is a solidarity walk of about 8 km and a bike gincana for children, making the event inclusive for families and different participant profiles. The 9th Passeio Sr. dos Aflitos is a leisure cycling and walking event (Passeio BTT x Caminhada) scheduled for March 29, 2026, in Gumirães, Viseu, Portugal. This event features two main distances: a mountain bike ride of approximately 30 km and a walking route of about 10 km.

Open to all participants aged 14 and above, including minors with parental authorization, the event welcomes riders on two-wheel vehicles such as cyclocross bikes, mountain bikes, and e-bikes. The event is non-competitive, focusing on participation and enjoyment rather than timing, with the organization offering keepsakes and medals for mountain bike finishers.

The routes combine rural roads, trails, and some paved sections, showcasing the natural beauty of the Viseu region. The atmosphere is friendly and recreational, with the start and finish located by the Chapel of Sr. dos Aflitos in Gumirães. Support teams and safety measures are in place along the course to ensure participant well-being.

The Aveiro Spring Classic 2026 is a non-competitive cyclotourism event held on March 22, 2026, with start at 09:00 on Rua Cais da Fonte Nova (Aveiro) and finish at the same place. It features one course: 117 km with ~700 m D+. Although non-competitive, participants are chip-timed for the full course and/or pre-announced segments. The event follows Portuguese Cycling Federation regulations for Open Rides and UCI rules for mass-participation rides. Minimum age is 19+ (as of 31-12-2026).
