<p>The Sunset Trail – Covões, organized by PRODESCO with the support of the União das Freguesias de Covões e Camarneira and the Municipality of Cantanhede, will take place on September 6, 2025. This scenic and friendly trail running event features a 15 km Mini Trail and a 10 km Walk, both starting and finishing at the Pavilhão Dr. Paulo Oliveira. With minimal elevation gain/loss (±100 m), it offers an accessible course across varied terrain — including sandy paths, clay soil, dirt roads, asphalt, and forest trails. Open to athletes aged 16+ (with parental consent) and walkers of all ages, the race combines sport, community spirit, and a festive post-race atmosphere with a dinner and Sunset Party.</p>

<p>On September 6, 2025, the charming village of Alvelos in Barcelos hosts the 7th edition of the Grande Prémio de Atletismo Águias de Alvelos — a local classic embedded in the Nossa Senhora das Dores festivities. Open to all runners aged 16 and up, the 8 km road race offers a festive, welcoming environment ideal for both competitive athletes and casual runners.</p> <p>Younger athletes aren’t left out either — the Kids Race includes two age-specific distances: 1.5 km for ages 6–10 and 3 km for ages 11–15. With institutional support and vibrant local participation, this event promises a great blend of competition and community.</p>

<p>A ENCOSTA takes place in Alcobaça, with start and finish at the Castle of Alcobaça. The course passes notable points such as the Encosta dos Crossmates, the Monastery of Alcobaça, Hotel Montebelo, and the Parque Verde. For reasons of force majeure, the organization may change the course, distances, or start/finish location.</p> <p>The event features a mixed trail course combining trails and urban sections, consisting of a single loop of approximately 11 km with multiple obstacles. Teams must overcome various challenges along the route, completing them in pairs, always connected by a device on one upper limb.</p> <p>The race starts in boxes of 4 teams, with 2-minute intervals between boxes. A non-competitive walk of ~8 km is also available.</p>

<p>The 3rd edition of Côdeas Trail takes place on September 6, 2025, in Casal dos Claros and Coucinheira, Leiria. Organized by Unidos Runners with the support of G.D.R.C. Unidos, this trail event is part of the ADAL – Derovo – Fullprotein Circuit and serves as the District Sprint Trail Championship.<br /> It includes a challenging 19 km Trail Sprint and a beginner-friendly 10 km Mini Trail, as well as a 10 km non-competitive walk and a kids’ race with fun distances for younger athletes. The route combines technical trails, rural paths, and local charm, with strong emphasis on safety, environmental respect, and community participation.<br /> Ideal for trail enthusiasts of all levels, the event promotes fair play and local sports culture — and even offers roast pig as a prize for the largest team!</p>
