The Matosinhos Urban Race 2025 takes place on August 30, 2025, in the heart of Matosinhos, Portugal, offering a unique 3-hour urban cycling challenge on a closed-loop course of approximately 3.5 km. Participants will aim to complete as many laps as possible within the designated time. This non-competitive cycling event is open to all riders — licensed or not — aged 16 and above. Whether solo, in pairs, or in teams of three, cyclists ride at their own pace, while lap times are recorded electronically. Set in a vibrant urban environment — including Matosinhos’ historical center, plazas, and gardens — the race delivers a festive night-time experience, blending city lights, sportsmanship, and community energy. Organized by Cabreira Solutions in partnership with the Municipality of Matosinhos, the event welcomes amateurs and enthusiasts alike. No professional riders may appear in rankings or claim prizes.
The 19th Volta a Portugal de Juniores will take place from August 28 to 31, 2025, bringing together the strongest U19 cycling teams from across the country.
