    In the heart of Baixo Alentejo, among striking landscapes and trails that challenge the senses, Ourique once again becomes the epicentre of gravel cycling in Portugal. The 2nd edition of Alentejo Gravel will take place on October 25, 2026, and is officially part of the qualification circuit for the 2027 Gravel World Championships.

    This event will bring together some of the best national and international athletes in a demanding and thrilling race, designed for those seeking adventure, technical skill, and endurance. Starting and finishing in Ourique, the course will take participants along dirt roads, rural paths, and authentic regional scenery, delivering excitement from the first to the last kilometre.

    Open to both licensed and non-licensed athletes and prepared to welcome cyclists across multiple age groups, this edition promises a balanced, challenging, and high-level competition. Beyond the sporting aspect, spectators can enjoy a dedicated social area with food, exhibitors, and activities for all ages, turning the day into a true festival celebrating gravel and cycling.

    Maia Urban Race

    Maia Urban Race 2026 is a night-time urban cycling event taking place on August 29, 2026, in Maia, Porto (Portugal). The event is held on a closed circuit in the city centre and runs from 19:30 to 22:30. Riders aim to complete as many laps as possible within 3 hours, with lap counting controlled via electronic chip timing.

    Although it is described as a non-competitive cycling-for-all event, participants are timed and ranked by total completed laps. The course showcases Maia’s historic areas, squares, and iconic gardens.
