A Terra de Gigantes (15 – 18 jan 2026) é a prova de trail mais longa realizada em Portugal: 303,8 km de resistência extrema pelos cumes, vales e invernos rigorosos da Serra da Estrela. A partida acontece às 11:00, na estrada da Torre, e os atletas dispõem de quatro dias e noites para superar um percurso altamente técnico, que exige total autonomia, estratégia apurada e fortaleza mental. Coorganizada pela Horizontes Turismo Desportivo e Viagens e pela Associação Interior Convida, a prova destina-se a ultra-corredores experientes que procuram uma vivência de montanha verdadeiramente transformadora.

    Vulcan Trail

    The Vulcan Trail 2026, organized by Grupo Desportivo de Igreja Nova, will take place on January 4, 2026, in Igreja Nova, Mafra. The event features three options: Trail Longo (20+ km), Trail Curto (12+ km), and a non-competitive Caminhada. It is part of the Mafra Trail Running Series and aims to promote healthy lifestyles, environmental awareness, and local trail culture. Participants compete across several age divisions and enjoy a scenic route through rural and wooded terrain, with elevation and technical elements. The race is semi self-sufficient, requiring athletes to carry their own hydration system. All competitive participants receive electronic timing, and finishers earn medals. Team participation is encouraged, with prizes for both individual and group results. The event ends with an optional hot meal and social gathering. The organization enforces sustainability practices, including no single-use cups at aid stations.

    The Linhas de Torres 100 returns on January 30–31, 2026, offering an epic trail challenge across the historic Linhas de Torres Vedras, the legendary military defense system north of Lisbon. All events finish at Expotorres, Torres Vedras. This is more than a race — it's a journey through cultural heritage, rugged landscapes, and technical trails, with options for everyone: Trail Ultra Endurance – 100 km (solo or relay of 2 or 4) Trail Ultra – 50 km Trail Long – 30 km Trail Sprint – 20 km Trail Short – 10 km Hikes – 20 km and 10 km Kids’ Races – for ages 7 to 15 Integrated in the ATRP National Trail Circuit, this inclusive event supports a social cause (APSA – Portuguese Association for Asperger Syndrome) and fosters a community spirit across all age groups.
