Ansião Gravel Race Challenge
The Ansião Gravel Race Challenge will host the 2025 Portuguese National Gravel Championship on September 14, 2025, at the Estádio Municipal de Ansião, in central Portugal.
This prestigious race brings together the nation’s best licensed cyclists, combining gravel, road, and off-road biking in a demanding, scenic format. The race is part of the UVP/FPC (Portuguese Cycling Federation) calendar and is open to Portuguese nationals holding a competition or CPT license. Non-licensed riders can also join in a separate “Open” category with specific regulations.
Set in the heart of the Sicó region, the course explores the rustic charm of Ansião, blending historical, natural, and gastronomic richness with a growing passion for off-road cycling.
With elite, master, para-cyclist, and open categories, the race is suited for experienced riders across all adult age groups. The event atmosphere is both competitive and celebratory, supported by the Ansibikers community.

Campeonato Nacional Gravel

Two distances are offered — 120 km (Elite) and 80 km (Short Course) — for both men and women across multiple age categories. The event is part of the Campeonato Nacional de Gravel and organized under the official regulations of the Portuguese Cycling Federation (FPC). Expect a supportive atmosphere and structured organization by Ansibikers.The event unfolds in Ansião, in the heart of the Sicó region — known for its natural beauty, heritage, and gastronomy. Organized by Ansibikers, the race combines elements of road and off-road cycling, offering a unique long-distance challenge on mixed terrain. Separate routes are used depending on age category, with a structured grid start system.

RACENATURE CASTELO DE VIDE
RACENATURE Castelo de Vide is a three-day mountain biking event held from September 19 to 21, 2025, in the scenic region of Castelo de Vide, Portugal. The event includes a prologue on Friday and two main stages over the weekend, all with GPS-guided routes. Although E-Bikes are welcome, they are not eligible for rankings.
This open-format event is suitable for licensed and non-licensed riders over 18 years old, regardless of gender. It promotes adventure, endurance, and camaraderie while taking participants through rugged rural trails and public roads. Solo riders and team duos (male, female, mixed) can participate in various age-based categories, with optional extras like hotel accommodation, massages, and a full-experience dinner.

Gravel Challenge - Gruppetto Cycle Club x Sosi
The GCC x SOSI Gravel Challenge 2025, held on September 21st in Évora, Portugal, invites riders to experience a scenic and adventurous ride through the rural heart of Alentejo. With a 115km gravel route guided exclusively by GPS, this challenge is all about freedom and exploration—not competition. Though rankings are given, the event embraces a non-competitive spirit, making it perfect for riders seeking personal achievement and camaraderie over podiums. Participants can use gravel bikes, cyclocross, MTB, or e-bikes (though e-bikes are not eligible for prizes).
With its unmarked course, minimal road contact, and emphasis on self-sufficiency and safety, the challenge appeals to independent and adventure-loving cyclists. Ultra Maratona BTT Gravel Race Cabeça Gorda
The 5th Ultra Marathon BTT / Gravel Race Cabeça Gorda will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, starting at 8:00 AM, in Cabeça Gorda – Beja, Portugal. Organized by BTT Ferrobico, this endurance MTB and gravel cycling challenge spans approximately 140 km with 2,500 meters of elevation gain, to be completed within a maximum of 11 hours. The course is fully GPS-guided and traverses rural landscapes across the municipalities of Beja and Mértola, including the scenic Pulo do Lobo.
