    This non-competitive cycling event covers approximately 60 km, ridden at a controlled pace of around 25 km/h, making it accessible to a wide range of cyclists aged 16 and above. The course includes regrouping points and aid stations, ensuring a safe and social experience for all.

    Beyond the ride itself, the Rota is known for its community spirit. Participants can look forward to a convivial lunch, gifts, and a welcoming atmosphere, while teams with 4 or more cyclists receive a commemorative trophy.

    Passeio BTT Terrugem

    The Passeio BTT Terrugem celebrates its 17th edition on September 14, 2025, in the parish of Terrugem, Sintra. Organized by ABIT – Associação Recreativa de Bicicletas da Terrugem, with the support of the local parish and Sintra Municipality, this event has become a traditional gathering for cycling and outdoor enthusiasts.

    Unlike competitive races, this event is focused on conviviality, leisure, and appreciation of the region’s landscapes, bringing together riders from across Portugal in a friendly, community-based atmosphere. The main challenge is a 45 km BTT ride of medium difficulty, while families and casual participants can join the 8 km pedestrian walk, guided and accessible to all ages.

    With full participant support, refreshments, showers, and post-event food, the Passeio BTT Terrugem ensures that every rider and walker enjoys a memorable day of sport, camaraderie, and celebration of nature.
