The Trilhos da Raposa is a trail running event set in the scenic landscapes of Cercal do Alentejo, happening on October 19, 2025. The event features three distinct distances: a 25km long trail, a 17km short trail, and a 10km hike, appealing to both competitive athletes and recreational participants.
Organized by CTF – Associação Crosstraining Cercal with support from local authorities, the event follows dirt trails and paths, with all races starting and finishing at Largo dos Caeiros. With elevation gains ranging from 300m to 1200m, each course offers a rewarding challenge through rugged natural terrain. The event is capped at 500 participants and fosters an environmentally responsible and supportive race environment.
The 5th edition of Corrida Cimpor will take place on October 19, 2025, in Alhandra, with the start and finish located at Cimpor’s facilities. As in previous years, all proceeds from the event will be donated to the Alhandra Volunteer Fire Department.
The event offers three different formats suitable for a variety of participants: a 10 km road race, a 4 km walk, and a 500 m Kids Race. Participants will run or walk through the streets of Alhandra and the riverside promenade. The 10 km course is designed for adults aged 18+, while the walk is open to all ages, and the Kids Race is dedicated to children up to 12 years old.

The Urban Obstacles Loures 2025 is an obstacle course race held on October 19, 2025, at Parque Papa Francisco in Loures. Open to athletes of all experience levels, the race combines physical endurance with over 20 challenging obstacles spread over a ~8 km course.

The 29th edition of the Grande Prémio de Atletismo de Tregosa will take place on October 19, 2025, in Tregosa, part of the União de Freguesias Durrães-Tregosa, in northern Portugal. The 25th Ribeirinha Half Marathon and the 22nd Ribeirinha Mini/Walk will be held on October 20, 2024, starting at 09:30. Organized by the Moita City Council and several local athletic clubs, the event features a competitive half marathon (21.097 km, officially certified by the Portuguese Athletics Federation) and a non-competitive mini/walk (~7 km). The route starts at Marginal da Moita and finishes at Praça da República, Moita, with a 3-hour maximum duration. Age divisions are available for seniors and veteran categories (M/F40 through M/F60), with awards for the top overall finishers, age-group winners, and the 10 best teams. The event offers cash prizes for top positions in each category and includes amenities such as multiple aid stations and medical support. Participation is capped at 600 athletes for each distance.
The Meia Maratona do Algarve / Mamamaratona is one of the Algarve’s most symbolic running events, combining sport, health awareness, and community spirit. Taking place in the beautiful coastal town of Quarteira on October 19, 2025, the event offers two competitive distances: a 21.1 km FPA-certified half marathon and a 10.5 km mini marathon.
Organized by the Municipality of Loulé and the Associação de Atletismo do Algarve, in partnership with the Associação Oncológica do Algarve, the race also carries a charitable cause: €2 from every registration is donated to the AOA in support of cancer prevention and awareness programs.
