5ª MARATONA BTT CUMEADENSE / ALQUEVA LAKE GIN
Event summary
The 5th Maratona BTT Cumeadense / Alqueva Lake Gin rolls out on 19 October 2025 in Reguengos de Monsaraz (Évora district), with start/finish at the Centro Cultural Cumeadense. Organized by the Centro Cultural Cumeadense’s cycling section with municipal support, the event explores rural tracks around the Alqueva region—wide dirt roads, farm lanes, and undulating countryside.
Riders can choose between two point-to-point style distances: a 60 km Marathon (Percurso B) and a 40 km Half-Marathon (Percurso A). The Marathon also accepts E-Bikes (general classification only). Although set on open roads and rural paths (traffic rules apply), the course is clearly marked and supported with on-route controls, first aid, and feed stations.
Open to men and women aged 14+, the event features overall and age-group trophies (M categories by 10-year bands; women with general classification) and a team podium. Entry options include lunch, showers, and bike wash—making it a full day out for BTT lovers of all levels.
