Event summary
The Invernal de BTT Cidade da Guarda 2025 takes place on November 23, 2025, in the city of Guarda, Portugal. Organized by the Clube de Montanhismo da Guarda and the Guarda Municipality, this traditional mountain biking event features three courses: a GPS Marathon (~60 km, 1200D+), a Half Marathon (~40 km, 600D+), and a Mini Marathon (~20 km, 300D+), plus a youth schools’ meeting at Parque Urbano do Rio Diz.
As part of the XCM Circuit of ACBI and the Schools Circuit, the race attracts both competitive and recreational athletes, offering a challenging mix of rural roads, trails, and secondary roads. Riders must comply with the open-road format and road safety rules, while enjoying a well-marked and supported course.
Known for its winter setting and strong community atmosphere, the event combines competition, endurance, and local spirit. With aid stations, medical support, finisher prizes, and post-race meals, the Invernal de BTT is a highlight for MTB enthusiasts from all over the country.

Surface type: Mixed – rural trails, dirt paths, secondary roads, open-road system.
Course format: Loop for Mini & Half Marathon (marked); GPS route for Marathon (track provided in GPX).
Timing method: Electronic chip timing (mandatory use).
Aid stations: Multiple along the routes (solids and liquids).
Prizes: Trophies and podium prizes for overall and age groups (Half Marathon & GPS Marathon), team awards, E-Bike podiums, finisher prize, digital diploma, and three vouchers for Passadiços do Mondego.
