Event summary
Challenge yourself in Portugal’s most demanding long-distance triathlon set in the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The Estrela Xtreme Triathlon® takes place from September 12–14, 2025, and offers two epic formats:
🏁 FULL Distance: 4km swim, 190km bike, 41km run
🏁 HALF Distance: 2km swim, 105km bike, 21km run
🏁 HALF RELAY: Same distances as HALF, split between 2 or 3 athletes
From icy alpine lakes to steep mountain climbs and forest trails, this race pushes every limit across Portugal’s highest terrain. Open to licensed and non-licensed triathletes, the EXT® welcomes extreme endurance lovers and team challengers alike.
With limited slots (40 FULL / 70 HALF), personal support crews, GPS tracking, and strict self-sufficiency rules, Estrela Xtreme isn't just a race — it's an expedition.

• Saturday, 13 September – 05:00: FULL athlete check‑in | 06:00: FULL start | 08:00: HALF & RELAY start
• Sunday, 14 September – 02:00: FINAL cut‑off for FULL finish | 11:00: Awards ceremony

• FULL: Swim 1h45 • Bike 12h45 • Run checkpoints at km 16 & 26
• HALF: 10h30 total time limit with mid‑course checkpoints
