Event summary

The VI Aquatlo Jovem da Amadora will take place on September 27, 2025, at the Reboleira Swimming Pool facilities and surrounding areas in Amadora, Portugal. Organized by the Portuguese Triathlon Federation, in partnership with the Amadora City Council and supported by Clube de Natação da Amadora, the event is part of the Lisbon and Alto Alentejo Youth Championship (6th stage).

The competition is aimed at young athletes born between 2008 and 2018, with distances adapted for each age group, from Benjamins to Cadets. It is open to both licensed and non-licensed participants (with insurance included for the latter).

This youth aquathlon combines swimming in a 25m pool with running courses on asphalt, offering a safe and motivating environment for developing athletes. The event also counts towards the “Troféu Amadora Triatlo”, alongside the local Duatlo Cross. The atmosphere is competitive yet supportive, designed to encourage participation from clubs, schools, and families.

Age categories/divisions & distances:

Benjamins (2018–2016): 50m swim + 400m run

Infantis (2015–2014): 100m swim + 800m run

Iniciados (2013–2012): 170m swim + 1000m run

Juvenis (2011–2008): 220m swim + 2000m run

Cadetes (2008–2007): 220m swim + 2000m run

Start/finish locations: Swimming Pool of Reboleira (swim start), Parking Lot of the Pool (transition + finish).

Schedule (Sept 27):

13:00–14:00 → Secretariat

13:15–14:30 → Bike check-in & transition setup

15:00 → Races start (by age group & gender)

17:00 → Equipment check-out

17:30 → Awards ceremony

Cut-off time: Each race closes shortly after the last athlete finishes.

Bib pick-up: September 27, 13:00–14:00 at Reboleira Pool.

Participants limit: Not specified.

Registration deadline: September 22, 2025 (23:59).

Entry fees: Licensed athletes free; non-licensed athletes €5 (includes insurance).

Surface type: 25m pool + asphalt run with light elevation.

Course format: Pool laps + running loops.

Timing method: Manual/classification per age group (RTC rules).

Aid stations: At finish line + recovery area (water & fruit).

Parking: Available at venue.
