🏔️ Stage 1 – The Mountains and the Douro River

Begins on the world-famous N222 road through the scenic Douro Valley, ending in Guarda, the highest city in Portugal.

🗻 Stage 2 – Conquering the Highest Point in Mainland Portugal
📍 Guarda – Covilhã | 107KM | 2550m D+
Climbs to Alto da Torre (1,993m), the highest point on mainland Portugal, followed by a stunning descent into Covilhã.

🌄 Stage 3 – From the Mountains to the Lowlands
📍 Covilhã – Alter do Chão | 165KM | 1730m D+
Crosses into the Alentejo through scenic hills and the majestic Tagus River at Portas do Rodão. Ends at the historic Royal Stud Farm.

🍷 Stage 4 – Alentejo, the Portuguese Tuscany
📍 Alter do Chão – Évora | 96KM | 800m D+
A cultural ride through cork oak-lined roads and wheat fields, ending in the UNESCO city of Évora.

🔥 Stage 5 – The Super Stage

The longest and one of the most epic stages. Finishes with the climb to Monchique, entering the Algarve mountains.

The Granfondo Torres Vedras is a cycling race taking place on May 28, 2024, in Torres Vedras, Portugal. This event offers multiple distance options to accommodate cyclists of various experience levels.

Open to all licensed cyclists, the race is part of the national cycling calendar, attracting a competitive field. Participants will enjoy a course featuring diverse terrain, including challenging climbs and scenic road sections through the picturesque region surrounding Torres Vedras.

The race atmosphere blends competitive spirit with community engagement, offering an exciting experience for all riders. Additional events such as team competitions and relay formats may be included to broaden participation.

The Eurobec Granfondo is a competitive amateur cycling event taking place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, starting and finishing in Badajoz, Spain. The race offers three distances: Granfondo (150 km), Mediofondo (100 km), and Minifondo (60 km), catering to cyclists aged 15 and above, with certain age restrictions based on distance.

This open event welcomes both licensed and non-licensed participants, with a maximum of 1500 riders allowed across all distances. The course is mostly flat and runs through the Eurocity region connecting Badajoz, Elvas, and Campo Maior, showcasing a unique blend of Spanish and Portuguese cultural landscapes and historic towns such as Olivença and São Domingos de Gusmão.

With its approachable terrain and vibrant route passing through significant heritage sites, the Eurobec Granfondo offers a festive atmosphere for cyclists of different levels to experience the rich patrimonial, cultural, and natural resources of the region. The event includes professional timing, mechanical assistance, and a finisher’s kit, making it a memorable cycling adventure.

The Granfondo Serra da Estrela returns for its 11th edition on June 28, 2026, offering one of the most breathtaking cycling adventures in Portugal. Starting and finishing in Seia, this is a non-competitive cycling event that captures the essence of endurance, passion, and natural beauty.

Participants can choose between the Granfondo and Mediofondo distances, each featuring chip-timed segments that reward consistency and effort, not speed. The challenge? Climbing into the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, Portugal’s highest mountain range. 🌲⛰️
