International Track and Field Trophy - Alves Barbosa

The Trofeu Internacional de Pista – Bento Pessoa is an international track cycling competition organized by the Portuguese Cycling Federation, scheduled for December 13, 2025, at the Centro de Alto Rendimento Sangalhos in Anadia, Portugal. This event features UCI Class C2 races including disciplines such as Scratch, Individual Pursuit, Elimination, Points Race, and Madison for Men Elite, Women Elite, Men Junior, and Women Junior categories.

The competition is open to all licensed riders meeting the age requirements (Elite: 18 and over; Junior: 16 and over). The venue boasts a 250-meter indoor wooden track with 41.2º banked bends, providing a professional racing environment.

The atmosphere is geared towards high-level competition with an official medical team and anti-doping controls in place, ensuring a safe and fair race environment. The event includes multiple races per category with opportunities for both individual and team competition.

The X São Silvestre BTT ARCBT is a mountain bike group ride scheduled for December 20, 2025, in Bairro da Tabaqueira, Rio de Mouro, Portugal. This event features an approximately 18 km route of medium-low technical difficulty, combining rural paths and some asphalt.

Open to all cyclists aged 12 and above, the ride welcomes both individual participants and groups, with no competitive ranking as it is an informal, non-competitive cycling tour focused on camaraderie and enjoyment of the nighttime landscape and heritage. The event is organized by the Associação de Recreio e Cultura Bairro da Tabaqueira and the local parish council.

Participants will experience a friendly and festive atmosphere, including pre-ride socializing with hot drinks and traditional treats, a guided ride starting at 18:00, and a post-ride dinner featuring caldo verde and pork on a spit. The event also includes awards for largest male and female teams and best attire, making it a vibrant community celebration beyond a simple night ride.

The XIII Raid Marafade “25 Anos a Marafar por aí” is a popular cycling event held on December 7, 2025, in Portimão, Faro. This event offers three routes with varying difficulty levels: Mini-Marathon (22 km), Half-Marathon (33 km), and Marathon (66 km, two laps), catering to cyclists of different experience and fitness levels.

The event is open to all participants aged 16 and above, without competitive pressure as it is a leisure ride with timing for information only on the longer routes. The course is fully marked and takes place entirely on private terrain, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive, welcoming riders from various clubs, groups, and individuals.

Participants can enjoy scenic cycling through the private Morgado de Arge estate and surrounding areas with no road crossings, supported by solid and liquid refreshment stations and post-ride shower facilities. Awards and commemorative souvenirs are provided to all who complete their chosen routes, with special prizes for top finishers in the longer distances and for the youngest and oldest participants.
