Event summary
The Trail Vale Encantado is a trail running event scheduled for March 15, 2026, taking place in the Vale de São Cosme area, a region known for its impressive natural beauty and cultural heritage. The race offers two main trail distances: a 17 km Sprint trail with 680 meters of elevation gain and a 27 km Long trail with 1300 meters of elevation gain, plus an 8 km non-competitive walking event and a short kids’ trail.

The Trail Vale Encantado is part of the Regional Trail Championship of the Braga Athletics Association as well as the Famalicão Municipal Trail Championship, ensuring a competitive and well-recognized race atmosphere.
The courses traverse diverse landscapes including native forests, eucalyptus plantations, granite formations, archaeological sites, and scenic valley views, providing a challenging and visually stunning experience. The event also promotes environmental respect and sustainability. The race day features a vibrant atmosphere with activities such as warm-up sessions and a Zumba class, and finishes with a prize ceremony and social engagement.
