Mangualde Trail - Saints Challenge

The Estrela Road Challenge 2026 is a challenging road running event taking place in Manteigas, Serra da Estrela, Portugal, on October 24-25, 2026. It features demanding courses that test endurance and strength amidst spectacular mountain scenery.

Participants can choose between three race formats: the Uphill® 21 km race with 1600 m positive elevation gain, the Uphill + Downhill® 42 km race with 3200 m total elevation change, and the 42 km Relay Team® race where one runner completes the Uphill and the other the Downhill segment. The event is open to athletes aged 18 and above, requiring good physical condition and experience due to its mountain terrain.

Set in the natural park of Serra da Estrela, the race offers unique landscapes of mountainous roads with strict environmental and social responsibility values. The atmosphere is competitive yet respectful and supportive, emphasizing ethics and solidarity among runners, volunteers, and organizers.

The LynxRace Oeiras 2026 is an obstacle race event taking place on November 1, 2026, in Oeiras, Portugal. Participants can choose between two distances: 10 km with 30 obstacles or 5 km with 20 obstacles, making it accessible for different levels of challenge and fitness.

This event is open to all athletes and offers two participation modes: Competitive, where athletes race with timing and must comply with obstacle rules, and Open, aimed at fun but still timed. LynxRace Oeiras 2026 is the third stage of the LynxRace Circuit 2026, which also includes races in Vouzela and Mafra, adding a series dimension to the competition.

The race takes place entirely within the Estação Agronómica area, providing a unique setting with varied obstacles testing strength, skill, balance, and resilience. The atmosphere is competitive yet inclusive, with categories for individuals, teams, and a kids’ 2 km race, making it a family-friendly sporting event.

The UTAX AXtrail®2026 is a trail running event to be held from October 16 to 18, 2026, in Castanheira de Pera, Portugal. It offers a variety of competitive race distances including a challenging 107 km UTAX ultra trail, 56 km TSL, 32 km TX, 16 km MTX, and an 8 km Caminho do Xisto trail, ensuring there are options for runners at different levels.

The event is open to individual participants with minimum age requirements varying by race distance, and it is part of a broader AXtrail®series. The courses traverse the natural beauty of the Aldeias do Xisto territory, combining demanding mountain terrain with scenic paths. The race atmosphere blends competitive spirit with community and social elements, including additional events such as AXtrail Kids and AXtrail da Inclusão, making it an inclusive and festive experience.

Team classifications and awards are included in some races (UTAX, TSL, TX), and the event features robust logistical support including aid stations, safety teams, and post-race recovery facilities, enhancing the overall experience for participants.

The 5th Trail Demônios do Lizandro is a trail running event taking place on November 6 and 7, 2026, in Santa Susana – São João das Lampas, Sintra municipality. It features a variety of race distances including Trail Endurance (100 km), Ultra Trail (50 km), Trail Longo (30 km), Trail Sprint (20 km), Mini Trail (12 km), and a 12 km walking event. This event is open to all athletes aged 18 and above for competitive races, with younger participants allowed in the walking event with authorization, making it inclusive for a wide range of trail runners and walkers.

Certified by ITRA and counting towards the UTMB index, the race is also part of the ATRP circuit and the Lisbon Athletics Association regional circuit. Participants will experience the unique trails of the region, known for their natural beauty and challenging terrain. The event’s festive atmosphere combines serious competition with community spirit, offering a well-organized experience for both elite and amateur athletes.

The event logistics are centralized at the Sociedade Recreativa de Santa Susana e Pobral, providing a unified hub for secretariat, start/finish lines, and facilities. While mainly individual competitions, the event includes team classifications and awards, adding a team dimension to the race.
