The HYDRA GAMES return to Almada on 13–14 September 2025, promising an intense blend of endurance running and functional fitness. Hosted at the Pista Municipal de Atletismo Alberto Chaíça, this innovative competition fuses 800 m running intervals with challenging workout stations such as SkiErg, Air Bike, Dumbbell Lunges, and Wall Balls.
The event is inclusive, welcoming individuals, duos (male, female, mixed), teens, and kids. Each participant faces 8 rounds of 800 m running paired with functional workouts. With chip timing, strict judging, and categories adapted for all fitness levels, the HYDRA GAMES offer a hybrid athletic experience that pushes strength and stamina while fostering fair play. Prizes include €4000 in cash and sponsor vouchers.

Chip timing with official rankings by category and age
Cut‑off & duration:
Average ~1h30 per athlete – penalties apply for missed laps
Participant limits:
1,000 total – 120 male duos, 80 female duos, 50 mixed duos, 150 individual men, 100 individual women, 25 kids, 50 teens

Entry fees:
• Duos: €70–90
• Individuals: €40–50
• Teens: €20–25
• Kids: €10–15
Refund policy:
100% until 17 June; 50% until 31 July; no refunds after
Age restrictions:
Kids – 6–11 years (individual)
Teens – 12–16 years (individual)
Equipment & standards:
Mandatory use of assigned weights/distances – movement standards enforced
Control & judging:
Judges at each station validate execution of movements
Penalties:
+5 min per missed lap; +5–10 m for form violations
Disqualification reasons:
Missing stations or rule violations → DNF
Spectators:
Allowed around venue and warm‑up zones
