    <p>The Passeio BTT Terrugem celebrates its 17th edition on September 14, 2025, in the parish of Terrugem, Sintra. Organized by ABIT – Associação Recreativa de Bicicletas da Terrugem, with the support of the local parish and Sintra Municipality, this event has become a traditional gathering for cycling and outdoor enthusiasts.</p> <p>Unlike competitive races, this event is focused on conviviality, leisure, and appreciation of the region’s landscapes, bringing together riders from across Portugal in a friendly, community-based atmosphere. The main challenge is a 45 km BTT ride of medium difficulty, while families and casual participants can join the 8 km pedestrian walk, guided and accessible to all ages.</p> <p>With full participant support, refreshments, showers, and post-event food, the Passeio BTT Terrugem ensures that every rider and walker enjoys a memorable day of sport, camaraderie, and celebration of nature.</p>

  • Trail do Cerco

    Trail do Cerco

    <p>The 3rd edition of the Trail do Cerco will take place on September 14, 2025, in Celorico da Beira, Portugal. Organized by the Municipality of Celorico da Beira with the support of AVCAT – Associação Vila Chã Aldeia Trail de Portugal, the event features three challenges: the Long Trail (≈24 km, 700D+), the Short Trail (≈14 km, 450D+), and a 9 km Hike.</p> <p>Set across rural and mountain trails, dirt paths, and small stretches of asphalt, the courses highlight the natural surroundings of Celorico da Beira while promoting trail running and environmental respect. Open to all participants aged 18 and above, licensed or not, the event emphasizes fair play, sustainability, and safety throughout.</p> <p>With a welcoming yet competitive spirit, the Trail do Cerco combines athletic challenge with community atmosphere. The event also offers post-race meals, technical athlete kits, and prizes for both overall and age-category winners.</p>

    Trail Capital da Abóbora

    <p>The Trail Capital da Abóbora 2025 will take place on 14 September in the parish of Soza, Vagos, Portugal. Organized by the Associação Tainadas Run Team and the Associação Desportiva e Cultural Sosense, with the support of the Vagos City Council, the event offers three main distances: the Long Trail (25 km), the Short Trail (15 km), and the 8 km Walk, all starting and finishing at the Estádio dos Lagos in Soza.</p> <p>Open to both federated and non-federated participants, the race welcomes trail enthusiasts of all levels, with the Short Trail available to athletes aged 16–18 under parental consent. The Walk is accessible to participants of all ages, promoting community involvement and family participation.</p> <p>The course features varied natural terrain with sections through rural and forest areas, complemented by a lively, community-driven atmosphere. The event also includes a Trail Kids run inside the venue on the day prior to the main races, as well as free babysitting services during the event morning — reinforcing its family-friendly spirit.</p>

    Avenidas Novas Run

    <p>The Avenidas Novas Run 2025 will take place on September 14, 2025, in the heart of Lisbon, starting and finishing at Parque Eduardo VII. Organized by the Avenidas Novas Parish Council with technical management from WeRun, this urban running event is designed to promote physical activity, healthy lifestyles, and community spirit.</p> <p>The program features three main events catering to all ages and abilities: a 10 km competitive race for runners aiming for performance, a 5 km non-competitive walk for those looking to enjoy the city at a gentler pace, and a Kids Race that kicks off the day with energy and enthusiasm. The flat asphalt course winds through Lisbon’s Avenidas Novas area, offering scenic views, hydration stations, and medical support along the way.</p> <p>Participants can expect a festive atmosphere with music, cheering supporters, and post-race celebrations. All finishers will receive a technical t-shirt, commemorative medal, and athlete kit, along with refreshments at the finish line. With a participant limit of 1,500 athletes, early registration is encouraged to secure a spot in one of Lisbon’s most vibrant and community-focused running events of the year.</p>
