Challenge yourself in Portugal’s most demanding long-distance triathlon set in the heart of the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. The Estrela Xtreme Triathlon® takes place from September 12–14, 2025, and offers two epic formats: 🏁 FULL Distance: 4km swim, 190km bike, 41km run 🏁 HALF Distance: 2km swim, 105km bike, 21km run 🏁 HALF RELAY: Same distances as HALF, split between 2 or 3 athletes From icy alpine lakes to steep mountain climbs and forest trails, this race pushes every limit across Portugal’s highest terrain. The Triatlo Jovem de Viseu brings together young athletes from across the region for a day of energy, enthusiasm, and athletic development. As part of the Campeonato Norte Jovem, this event emphasizes skill-building and fair play while promoting the next generation of multisport talent. Event Type: Northern Youth Regional Championship

The Casconha Triathlon is an event that will take place on September 14, 2025, at Praia das Rocas, in Castanheira de Pera. The event is organized by Prazilândia, Turismo e Ambiente Empresa Municipal, and the Municipality of Castanheira de Pera, with the technical support of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation (FTP). The event is comprised of three different races: the National Youth Championship (6th stage), the Absolute Litoral e Interior Centro Championship, and an Open Race. The National Youth Championship and the Absolute Litoral e Interior Centro Championship are for licensed athletes, while the Open Race is available for licensed athletes from other regions and for non-licensed athletes ("1 Day License"). The courses for the cycling and running segments are on asphalt with some elevation changes. The race is open to all interested athletes. The National Youth Championship and the Open Race can be disputed in relay format. The course for the swimming segment is located in the Praia das Rocas lagoon.

Set in the scenic Tâmega River valley, the Boelhe Cross Triathlon offers a true off-road experience that blends rural charm with athletic challenge. Taking place on September 7, 2025, this event features open water swimming, mixed-terrain mountain biking, and a countryside trail run — all based around Boelhe’s River Beach in Penafiel. It’s part of the Northern Regional Championship, attracting both elite and amateur triathletes in a friendly, supportive environment. With a low-technical route, the race is perfect for both experienced athletes and first-timers. Relays are also welcome!
