The São Mamede BTT – Portalegre returns for its 2025 edition on the weekend of September 13–14, offering a scenic and challenging ride through the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park. Organized by the Associação de Desporto e Aventura de Portalegre (DAP), the event showcases the region’s natural beauty, local gastronomy, and historic trails via two distance options: a 60 km Marathon and a 35 km Half-Marathon.

Open to both conventional and electric mountain bikes, and riders 14 years and older, the event features age-group rankings, team classifications, and a festive setting including a cycling expo and awards ceremony. It is part of the Troféu BTT Norte Ribatejo de Maratonas series.

📏 Distances & Time Limits:
Marathon – 60 km: 6 hours
Half-Marathon – 35 km: 4 hours

🚲 Race Format:
• Open trail ride with signage (not a closed-road race)
• Marked with vertical signs, tape, and checkpoint controls
Participants must follow the distance they registered for

👥 Who Can Participate:
• All riders aged 14+ (Marathon: 16+, Half-Marathon: 14+)
• Licensed (FPC) and non-licensed riders welcome
• Non-licensed riders covered by single-day event insurance

  • XXV Rota das Terras do Demo

    XXV Rota das Terras do Demo

    <p>The XXVI Rota das Terras do Demo takes place on September 14, 2025, in Moimenta da Beira, organized by Pedaladas Clube de Cicloturismo with the support of the Cycling Association of Viseu and local entities.</p> <p>This non-competitive cycling event covers approximately 60 km, ridden at a controlled pace of around 25 km/h, making it accessible to a wide range of cyclists aged 16 and above. The course includes regrouping points and aid stations, ensuring a safe and social experience for all.</p> <p>Beyond the ride itself, the Rota is known for its community spirit. Participants can look forward to a convivial lunch, gifts, and a welcoming atmosphere, while teams with 4 or more cyclists receive a commemorative trophy.</p>
