The Azores Triangle Adventure 2025 is a unique three-day trail running event held from October 24–26, 2025, across the islands of Pico, São Jorge, and Faial, in the Azores Archipelago, Portugal. The race spans three distinct stages, covering approximately 85 km in total distance. Participants will run through volcanic terrain, coastal cliffs, and lush trails, facing significant elevation gain, technical trails, and varied weather.

Stage Distances & Cutoff Times:

1. From Vineyards to the Mountain (Pico Island)
• Distance: 25 km | D+ significant
• Cutoffs:

  • CP1 (Criação Velha): 13.2 km – 2:00 h

  • Finish (Casa da Montanha): 25 km – 5:00 h

2. Fajãs Trail (São Jorge Island)
• Distance: 24.4 km
• Cutoffs:

  • CP1 (Loural): 9 km – 2:30 h

  • CP2 (Serra do Topo): 15.2 km – 5:00 h

  • Finish (Fajã dos Cubres): 7:00 h

3. Volcanoes Trail (Faial Island)
• Distance: 34.9 km
• Cutoffs:

  • CP1 (Tanque da Levada): 11.5 km – 2:30 h

  • CP2 (Parque do Cabouco): 24.5 km – 4:30 h

  • Finish (Ribeirinha): 7:00 h

Participant Requirements:
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Must be in excellent physical condition
• Must sign liability waiver at race check-in
• External support only allowed at official aid stations

Timekeeping:
• Chip timing on bibs
• Multiple control checkpoints (some manual)

Transfers Included:
• Ferry: Horta → Pico → São Jorge → Faial
• Bus: Start/finish transport on each island

Race HQ:
• Oct 23 (3:00–10:00 PM) – Horta, Faial Island
