São Silvestre Barreiro

The São Silvestre de Barcelos is one of Portugal's most iconic nighttime road races, blending festive atmosphere with competitive spirit in the historic city of Barcelos. Organized by Fundista – Sports Marketing Agency with the support of the Barcelos Municipality, the event welcomes runners of all ages and abilities. Three races make up the event: 💨 10K race – open to all runners born in or before 2009 🚶 5K walk – open to all born in or before 2020 🧒 Kids’ races – distances vary, for children born between 2012 and 2021 Starting and finishing at Avenida da Liberdade (main avenue), the route showcases the vibrant cityscape lit up for the holidays. The Gerês Extreme Marathon 2025 takes place from December 5 to 7 in the stunning setting of Peneda-Gerês National Park, Portugal’s only national park. Organized by Carlos Sá Nature Events, this three-day event blends road and trail running across a variety of distances — from a scenic night run to the grueling 90KM Extreme Ultra. Athletes of all levels are welcome to take on the challenge and experience the raw beauty of Gerês.

The EPIC X 2025 is a demanding mountain trail challenge designed for athletes who thrive in endurance and adventure. Set in a rugged natural landscape, the event offers technical single tracks, steep ascents, and breathtaking views that make the effort worthwhile. With multiple distances available, runners can choose between shorter but still challenging courses or dive into the ultra-distance adventure that tests both physical strength and mental resilience. Each participant is expected to run in semi-autonomy, carrying essential gear and relying on aid stations strategically placed along the route. The Continental Grande Prémio de Natal is organized by the Lisbon Athletics Association and Last Lap Eventos Lda. On 7 December 2025, the 66th Continental Grande Prémio de Natal will take place, characterized by its festive Christmas season timing and an easy course that runs through the main streets of Lisbon. It is a road running event featuring a 10,000-metre race, a walk of approximately 4,000 metres, and other youth races with distances adjusted to each age group.
