Event summary

The 11th Famalicão Half Marathon will take place on October 19, 2025, starting at 09:30 AM on Avenida Brasil in Vila Nova de Famalicão. In addition to the official 21.097 km Half Marathon, there will be a 10 km race/walk open to participants of all ages. Organized by Runporto.com in partnership with the Municipality of Famalicão and the Braga Athletics Association, the event takes runners through the city’s main urban arteries, offering both a competitive and inclusive experience.

  • 21.097 km Half Marathon — athletes born in 2007 or earlier

    • Up to August 31 – €17

  • 10 km Race/Walk:

Inscription Mode: Online via Runporto website, with limited spots available.

Special Instructions:

  • Itemized invoice must be requested via email (within 5 business days of payment).

  • Online registrations must be paid within 72 hours or they will be canceled (with a €1.50 late fee for reclaiming).

Minimum Age:

  • Half Marathon: Born in 2007 or earlier

  • 10 km: All ages

Kit Details:

  • T-shirts included while stocks last. Sizes assigned upon pickup, no prior selection.

Arrival Zone:

  • Exclusive to participants who completed the race. Includes refreshments and commemorative items (limited stock).

Bag Drop (Guarda-Roupa):

  • Available at finish area. Bags must be labeled with participant’s bib number.

Timing & Classification:

  • Chip timing for both distances.

  • Half Marathon: Overall and veteran categories (M/F35 to M/F60).

  • 10 km: Overall (M/F) and veteran (single category).

Diplomas:

  • Electronic diplomas for all participants will be available on Runporto’s website.

Jury & Medical Support:

  • Jury appointed by the Braga Regional Arbitration Council.

  • Medical assistance deployed at start, along the course, and at finish.

Restrictions:

  • No animals, bikes, skates, or scooters allowed in the race.

  • Infractions include failure to follow course, improper bib placement, using someone else’s chip, etc.

Insurance & Safety:

  • Sporting insurance provided to all registered participants per national legal requirements.

  • Doping control may be conducted.

  • Personal data is handled according to privacy laws; participants can request access or deletion via email.

Transfers, Cancellations & Changes:

  • Cancellation permitted up to September 19 — no refund.

  • Transfers allowed until September 19 with €5 administrative fee.

  • Changes between 21 km and 10 km allowed until Sep 19, with payment for any price differences.

Event Contingency:

  • Event may be postponed due to force majeure (weather, public order, etc.) — in such cases, registrations are valid for the new date.
