The 12th Corrida Auchan returns on 6 September 2025 at the Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor in Oeiras. This popular charity event—supporting Fundação Pão de Açúcar—is organized by Auchan Retail Portugal with technical support from HMS Sports Consulting, and features a 10 km race, a 5 km walk, and the Corrida Rik&Rok kids’ races for ages 2012–2020. With a festive evening atmosphere, supporting activities for families and pets, and inclusive staging (Street Basket, Pet Challenge, urban sports demo), it combines community, sport and solidarity. The 10 km race includes a GOLD entry option offering a premium kit and priority start. Over the past editions, it has raised significant funds and welcomes thousands of participants
The Swim Party 10 km Algarve takes place on 6 September 2025 along the Algarve coast, starting at Praia do Carvalho and finishing at Praia dos Caneiros, in Lagoa, Portugal. The event offers a 10 km individual swim or participation as a 3‑member relay team. It is designed for swimmers who want to combine the challenge of a long‑distance open‑water swim with a relaxed, community‑oriented atmosphere. The route follows a spectacular coastal line, passing stunning cliffs, caves, and beaches, making it a unique sporting and scenic experience. After the swim, participants gather for a convivial lunch and awards celebration, reinforcing the social spirit of the event.
The Cebola Run returns to Rio Maior on September 6, 2025, for a festive and family-friendly celebration of sports and local identity. With a 10 km road race and the intergenerational “Corrida das Cebolinhas” for kids and adults, this event promotes fun, health, and community spirit. Starting and finishing at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Rio Maior, it offers live entertainment, free gifts for finishers, and a lively atmosphere. The event also features a special bonus: the first 500 registrants in the 10 km run receive a free ticket to the Nininho Vaz Maia concert.
The 3rd edition of 24H de P takes place on September 6–7, 2025, at the City Park of Santa Maria da Feira. This endurance road race invites runners to compete solo or in teams on a flat 2 km loop, mixing asphalt and dirt paths.

The Subida Quelha das Mulas 2025 is an uphill individual time trial taking place on 6 September 2025 in Vilar de Murteda, a parish in the municipality of Viana do Castelo. Organized by the Associação Desportiva e Cultural de Vilar de Murteda, the event is officially sanctioned by the Associação de Ciclismo do Minho and the Portuguese Cycling Federation (FPC).
The race features a short but challenging climb of approximately 3.4 kilometers with a steady 300-meter elevation gain, making it a popular route among regional cyclists. Open to both federated and non-federated riders, the event includes two main divisions: conventional bikes and e-bikes, with the latter being limited to non-federated participants.
Participants will start individually at timed intervals, beginning at 15:30, with bib pick-up available from 14:00 at Largo de Vilar de Murteda. Start times will be published at least 24 hours in advance. The race is designed to test each athlete’s climbing ability on a steep and scenic ascent well known in local cycling circuits.
The 3H Resistência TOCANDAR 2025 by FORTUNNA returns on September 7, 2025, in Nine, Vila Nova de Famalicão, bringing together the spirit of endurance mountain biking in a festive, community-centered atmosphere. Organized by the Associação de Ciclismo de Nine (TOCANDAR), the race offers a 3-hour BTT challenge on a loop of approximately 6.5 km, filled with technical trails, sharp climbs, and flowing descents across the surrounding terrain of the Nine parish.
Centered at the Café TOCA car park, which serves as the paddock and heart of the event, the race encourages both competitiveness and camaraderie. Alongside the main endurance race, the event hosts a Desafio Kids by Colégio Alfacoop, offering young cyclists a chance to ride and have fun.
Early registrants are rewarded—the first 100 confirmed participants will receive Eltin Forest cycling glasses. Registrations open July 7 and close September 1, with a price increase on August 24. It’s a day for all ages, blending sport, fun, and a shared passion for cycling.
TRITON Lisboa 2025 takes place on September 6 and 7, 2025, bringing a fast, flat and fully urban triathlon experience to the heart of Portugal’s capital. Athletes compete on a single-day format in one of three distances (Short, Middle, Long) on a fully closed-to-traffic course.
Whether racing individually, as part of a corporate relay team, or with your child in the Kids & Parents Swim & Run, this event combines accessibility with world-class organization. It is an official qualifying race of the TRITON World Series.

On September 6, 2025, the charming village of Alvelos in Barcelos hosts the 7th edition of the Grande Prémio de Atletismo Águias de Alvelos — a local classic embedded in the Nossa Senhora das Dores festivities. Open to all runners aged 16 and up, the 8 km road race offers a festive, welcoming environment ideal for both competitive athletes and casual runners.
Younger athletes aren’t left out either — the Kids Race includes two age-specific distances: 1.5 km for ages 6–10 and 3 km for ages 11–15. With institutional support and vibrant local participation, this event promises a great blend of competition and community.
The 3rd edition of Côdeas Trail takes place on September 6, 2025, in Casal dos Claros and Coucinheira, Leiria. Organized by Unidos Runners with the support of G.D.R.C. Unidos, this trail event is part of the ADAL – Derovo – Fullprotein Circuit and serves as the District Sprint Trail Championship.
It includes a challenging 19 km Trail Sprint and a beginner-friendly 10 km Mini Trail, as well as a 10 km non-competitive walk and a kids’ race with fun distances for younger athletes.
