15th Mountain Bike Tour "Along the Trails of Companionship"

The Assalto ao São Bartolomeu 2025 is a mountain bike individual time trial event taking place on October 5, 2025, in Sanguedo, Santa Maria da Feira. This race offers categories for traditional MTB and electric MTB (e-bike), providing unique opportunities for riders with different bike types to compete against the clock.

Participants range from juniors to masters, including elite men and women, with a requirement for federation license holders. The event is organized by Clube BTT Sanguedo in partnership with local authorities and features a challenging off-road course designed to test riders’ endurance and speed in a festive yet competitive atmosphere.

The 15th edition of BTT Terras do Toiro takes place on October 5, 2025, in the scenic trails of the Companhia das Lezírias, Porto Alto, Portugal. Organized by AREPA – Associação Recreativa do Porto Alto, this mountain biking event attracts both competitive and recreational riders with two main distances: 70 km marathon and 45 km half marathon, plus an E-Bike category.

The race offers a varied route on dirt tracks with occasional asphalt crossings, fully marked and supported by GPS tracks, control points, and local security forces. With its medium-level technical profile and rural landscape, participants face both physical and strategic challenges while enjoying the natural beauty of Ribatejo.

This community-driven event emphasizes both competition and camaraderie, featuring prizes for top athletes and teams, dedicated E-Bike classifications, and a festive post-race lunch, making it a highlight of the Portuguese MTB calendar.

The Maratona BTT Serra da Estrela returns on 5 October 2025 in Manteigas, Portugal, starting in front of the Municipal Council building. Organized by Grupo BTT de Manteigas with support from the Associação de Ciclismo da Beira Interior, the event showcases the Serra da Estrela through four distances designed for different experience levels: Mini Marathon (≈26 km), Half Marathon (≈46 km), Short Marathon (≈72 km), and the Elite Marathon (≈87 km).

Open to “Ciclismo para Todos” riders (federated and non-federated) from age 17+, the event also hosts the 5th round of the Taça de Portugal XCM, run under UCI/UVP-FPC regulations for eligible categories. Under-19 athletes must enter the non-competitive Mini Marathon.

Expect authentic mountain terrain—long climbs, technical descents, rural roads and open public sections—fully signposted and supported. With a strong community vibe, multiple aid zones, and post-race services (showers, bike wash, safety and medical support), it’s a signature day out in Portugal’s highest mountain range.

The 3rd edition of the Taça Oeste XCM BTT takes place in 2025, organized by MR3eventus, and includes five stages across the Oeste region of Portugal. This mountain bike series offers both Marathon (~60 km) and Half Marathon (~40 km) distances, open to all riders aged 18 and over, with federated and non-federated participants welcome.

The event is open to individual riders, male and female, across multiple age divisions. E-bikes are also permitted, though only Marathon participants are classified, while Half Marathon E-bikes remain non-competitive.

With its mix of rural paths, technical trails, and rolling terrain, the Taça Oeste XCM BTT provides not just a physical challenge but also a community-focused, amateur-friendly atmosphere. It blends endurance with accessibility, making it a highlight for both competitive mountain bikers and recreational riders who want to experience Portugal’s scenic countryside.
