3rd Municipal Trail Championship - Famalicão
Event summary
The 3rd Campeonato Concelhio de Trail – Famalicão is a trail running championship held across multiple events in Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal, during 2025 and 2026. The championship includes short trail races (10-18 km), long trail races (19-42 km), and an ultra trail race (over 42 km).
Open to all athletes aged 18 and above with adequate physical preparation, the championship features various age categories for both men and women, as well as team classifications. Participants compete across ten events for short and long trail categories, and one ultra trail event, with points awarded based on performance and participation.
The championship offers a competitive and structured trail running experience with a final awards gala recognizing top individual and team performances, fostering a community atmosphere among trail runners in the region.

Registration deadline: One week before each event
Prizes:
• Final Gala awards for top 3 overall male and female: 1st place receives shirt and trophy; 2nd and 3rd receive trophies
• Top 5 in each age category receive leader shirts, trophies, and vouchers for next year’s championship (1st place), trophies (2nd and 3rd), and honorable mentions (4th and 5th)
• Top 3 male and female teams receive trophies
Surface types: Trail running terrain (distances 10-18 km for short trail, 19-42 km for long trail, over 42 km for ultra trail)
Course format: Multiple races composing the championship throughout 2025-2026
