The ADN Race Ponta do Sol 2025 is a trail running event taking place on November 2, 2025, in the municipality of Ponta do Sol, Portugal. This event is a part of the Regional Trail Championship. The race offers two distances: a Long Trail of 33km (1700m D+) and a Sprint Trail of 14km (800m D+).

The event is open to all athletes, both national and international, federated or non-federated, aged 16 to 75. The courses run through mountain terrain, primarily using paths, trails, footpaths, levadas, and forest roads. The atmosphere is centered on promoting respect for nature and fair play. Team classifications are also available for groups of at least three members of the same gender.

Age categories/divisions: Sub-18 (16-17), Sub-20 (18-19), Sub-23 (20-22), Seniors M/F (23-34), and Veterans M/F (35+ in 5-year divisions).

Start/finish locations: Both races start on the Madalena do Mar promenade. The finish line for both races is in the center of Ponta do Sol village.

Long Trail: 08:00

Sprint Trail: 10:00

Cut-off times:

Long Trail: 8:00h (finish line closes at 16:00)

Sprint Trail: 3:30h (finish line closes at 13:30)

Bib pick-up time and location:

Friday, October 31, 2025: 15:00 to 19:00, in Funchal (location to be confirmed).

Saturday, November 1, 2025: 14:30 to 18:00, at the John dos Passos Cultural Center, Ponta do Sol.

Participants limit: Approximately 600 total participants (250 for the Long Trail and 350 for the Sprint Trail).

Registration deadline: October 10, 2025.

Surface types: Technical trails with paths, footpaths, levadas, paved sections, unpaved forest roads, and small sections of asphalt.

Course format: Point-to-point, starting in Madalena do Mar and finishing in Ponta do Sol.

Timing method: Electronic chip timing integrated into the bib number.

Toilets and aid station placement: The exact locations of the aid stations will be available on the official event page.

Parking and shuttle details: The organization will provide bus transportation to the starting points.

Prizes: Trophies for the top three male and female overall finishers in the Long Trail, as well as for the top three in each age category. There will also be prizes for the best athletes from or residing in Ponta do Sol. The award ceremony is scheduled for 16:30 on race day at the John dos Passos Cultural Center.
