Corrida do Farol
Event summary
The Corrida do Farol 2025 will take place on October 19, 2025, in Praia da Barra, Gafanha da Nazaré. The event features two options: an 8.5 km competitive run and a 4.5 km recreational walk, both starting and finishing near the iconic Barra Lighthouse.
The race offers a scenic mix of asphalt and sand surfaces, creating a dynamic and unique coastal challenge. Participation in the run is open to athletes aged 18 and over, with veteran age divisions, while the walk welcomes participants of all ages, promoting both competition and community spirit.
The 8.5 km run will be chip-timed and include awards for individual categories. The walk, on the other hand, is designed as a relaxed, non-competitive experience.
Both runners and walkers will enjoy the vibrant seaside atmosphere, safety support along the course, and refreshments at designated points. All participants will receive a medal, t-shirt, and athlete kit, making it an engaging and memorable experience for athletes, friends, and families alike.
