Fontelo Triathlon

The VIII Triatlo de Águeda is a triathlon and duathlon sprint event taking place on October 5, 2025, in the city of Águeda near the river. The event includes sprint distances suitable for solo participants, as well as team relay categories, open to all athletes without the need for a license.

This race is part of the North Triathlon Challenge circuit, offering a competitive yet accessible experience. The course presents a physical and technical difficulty level of 3 out of 5, with the route available for recognition on race day, providing unique riverfront scenery and a moderately challenging profile.

The atmosphere is inclusive and open, welcoming participants across a wide range of age categories, from teenagers to seniors, with solo and team options for both triathlon and duathlon disciplines, making it a dynamic event for athletes of all levels.

The 6th Caldas da Rainha Triathlon will take place on June 7, 2025, at the Caldas da Rainha Municipal Pool. This youth-focused event is part of the Coastal and Inland Center Youth Triathlon Championship, welcoming young athletes from Benjamins to Cadets.

The competition combines swimming in a 25-meter pool with cycling and running on nearby roads, providing a fun, safe, and educational sporting experience.

Organized by Sociedade de Instrução e Recreio Os Pimpões, with technical support from the Portuguese Triathlon Federation and the Municipality of Caldas da Rainha, the event promotes the spirit of triathlon among the new generation of athletes.

Cascais, Portugal, becomes the epicenter of long-distance triathlon when IRONMAN Portugal hosts both the iconic full-distance IRONMAN and the IRONMAN 70.3 on the same weekend. Athletes will take on the Atlantic swim in the sheltered Ribeira Beach, race through a scenic but challenging bike course fully closed to traffic, and finish with a flat and vibrant run along the Cascais coastline. The event attracts professionals chasing podiums and World Championship slots, as well as age-groupers seeking the ultimate endurance challenge. With a festive atmosphere, an international field, and world-class organization, it’s one of Europe’s most celebrated IRONMAN weekends.

The XI Albufeira Triathlon – Capital of Tourism will take place on October 19, 2025, starting at the Albufeira Fishing Dock and finishing at the Albufeira Marina. Organized by Futebol Clube de Ferreiras, the event is part of the Algarve and Lower Alentejo Championship and the Individual Regional Championship, raced over the Sprint distance.

The event includes both individual and relay races, welcoming athletes of all ages and categories — from cadets to veterans. The course features open-water swimming, road cycling, and a flat run along the Marina, combining challenge and beauty in equal measure.
