The Louzantrail 2026 is a mountain trail running event scheduled for March 6-8, 2026, in the scenic Vila da Lousã, Portugal. It offers three competitive trail distances: a Long Trail of 32 km with 2100 m positive elevation, a Short Trail of 20 km with 1100 m elevation, and a Mini Trail XS of 13 km with 700 m elevation, catering to a range of athletes.

Open to participants aged 16 and above (with the Mini Trail XS from 16 years and others from 18 years), the event welcomes all levels of trail runners prepared for challenging terrain with significant elevation gain. The race atmosphere is competitive yet respectful, emphasizing eco-responsibility and fair play. Besides individual competitions, there is a Trail Kids event with adjusted distances for younger participants and a demanding two-stage event, LZT By Stages, combining the 32 km and 20 km runs for an intense challenge. Podium ceremonies recognize top finishers by gender, age categories, and teams, enhancing the community spirit.

Course format: Single stage loop courses with positive elevation gains of 700 m to 2100 m depending on distance

Timing method: Electronic chip timing with dorsal chip

Toilets and aid station placement:
