Event summary
The Porto Marathon 2026 is one of Portugal’s most iconic road running events and returns on November 8, 2026. The race starts near SEA LIFE Porto and finishes at the Queimódromo, next to Parque da Cidade.
Known for its fast and mostly flat course along Porto’s Atlantic coastline, the event attracts thousands of national and international runners every year. With several race distances available, it caters to different levels of fitness, from experienced marathoners to those looking for a relaxed, non-competitive walk.

Aid Stations & Safety
According to international athletics regulations, hydration stations will be available from the 5 km mark and every 5 km thereafter. Medical assistance will be provided throughout the course, at the start, and at the finish area.
Race Kit & Expo
Race bibs and kits must be collected at the Alfândega do Porto Congress Centre on November 6th and 7th, between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm. Collection outside these dates and times will not be possible.
Timing & Results
The Marathon and 10K races will be officially timed using an electronic chip system. The 6K walk does not have a classification. Rankings will be available online after the event.
