<p>The 2nd edition of the Trail Winter Challenge S.A. returns to Ericeira on December 14, 2025, offering a festive and challenging trail experience. Organized near the coast, the event includes a 20 km long trail, a 12 km short trail, and a 12 km walk, all beginning in the morning. Participants can expect a course with scenic coastal views and moderate technical demands. The trails are chip-timed and count towards final rankings, while the walk is non-competitive. The event embraces the holiday season with a welcoming atmosphere, a surprise gift for all participants, and a festive finish line including traditional pastries, chorizo bread, and even beer.<br /> The event includes sports insurance, on-course nutrition, logistical support, and a finisher medal shaped like a puzzle piece—part of the CHALLENGE S.A. trail circuit. Prizes include stays at Vila Galé hotels, restaurant and gym vouchers, surf classes, and special awards for the most senior participants and the largest team. A draw for a Vila Galé double stay will be held among all participants in any of the distances.</p>

The main race is a 6.2km course, with a mini-race of 1.3km for younger age groups and a 4km walk.</p> <p>The race takes place with a festive atmosphere on a course closed to traffic. The walk starts behind the main race, and the event includes a race for athletes with adapted sports. The course format suggests a loop, with the main race consisting of two laps and the mini-race of one smaller lap.</p> <p>The 61st São Silvestre de Ponta Delgada will take place on 13 December 2025 in Ponta Delgada, on São Miguel Island in the Azores. Organized by the Associação de Atletismo de São Miguel, the event offers three different challenges: the main race (6.2 km), the Mini-Corrida (1.3 km), and a Caminhada (4 km).</p> <p>Open to athletes of all levels, the São Silvestre is a festive, year-end celebration that attracts elite runners, local athletes, and recreational participants alike. The course runs through the streets of Ponta Delgada, fully closed to traffic, creating a safe and lively race environment. Participants in the Caminhada can enjoy the atmosphere without competitive pressure, while younger runners and adaptive sport athletes have their own Mini-Corrida.</p> <p>In addition to its competitive and recreational appeal, the São Silvestre is a major community event, combining sport, tradition, and local pride to close the athletic calendar of the year in the Azores.</p>

<p>The 1st Corrida SalSilvestre is a night road running and walking event taking place on December 13, 2025, in Alcácer do Sal, Portugal. Organized by the Social, Cultural, and Sports Services Association of the local municipality, the event aims to promote healthy living among public workers and the wider community. Participants can choose between a 10 km competitive race and a 5 km walk, both starting and finishing at Parque Urbano 25 de Abril. The course features a scenic urban route along the Rio Sado, including passages near the castle and holiday decorations. The event is open to all participants aged 18+, including minors with parental authorization.</p>
