Sintra Trail Cruz Alta takes place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, with start/finish at Largo Rainha D. Amélia (Sintra) — first gun at 08:15. A daytime, eco-responsible event designed for trail runners and hikers, the courses weave through Sintra’s icons: Castle ramp, Pena Park, Cruz Alta, Tapada do Mouco, and Monserrate.
There are two competitive races (20 km and 12.5 km) plus a 12.5 km hike. Terrain is mostly dirt roads and low-technical trails, with meaningful elevation (up to +750 m on the 20 km). Organizer: Sintra Municipality (technical: HMS Sports).

Eligibility & Profile

Trail 20 km: competitive, 20+; requires prior trail experience and solid fitness.

Trail 12.5 km: competitive, 20+; suitable for newcomers with adequate prep.

Hike 12.5 km: non-competitive, 10+; under-14 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
