SWIM GRAND PRIX

The Federação de Triatlo de Portugal organizes various triathlon events throughout the year, including national championships and club competitions. These events take place across different regions of Portugal, such as Algarve, Lisboa, and Madeira, offering a wide range of distances and formats suited for all athlete levels.

Open to both licensed and age group athletes, many races are integrated into national and international cups, providing competitive opportunities from grassroots to elite levels. Tomar

The 5th Edition of the Grande Descida de Castelo Bode is a multi-stage open water swimming competition held on June 5-7, 2026, in Portugal. The event consists of six stages covering a total distance of approximately 50 km along the Castelo de Bode reservoir.

Participants can compete in one or multiple stages, or as part of a relay team of two swimmers. The race is open to swimmers aged 14 and older who hold a license from the Portuguese Swimming Federation or equivalent recognized by FINA. Each stage takes place at different river beach locations across the municipalities of Figueiró dos Vinhos, Vila de Rei, Ferreira do Zêzere, and Abrantes.

The event offers a competitive atmosphere with individual and relay classifications, monetary prizes for top finishers in each stage and overall, and commemorative awards for all participants. Support boats accompany swimmers for safety, and the race embraces the scenic natural water landscapes of the Castelo de Bode reservoir.

The 5th Meia Maratona das Cantarinhas is a running event scheduled for May 10, 2026, in Bragança, Portugal. The race starts and finishes at Rua Prof. Dr. António Gonçalves Rodrigues, beginning at 09:00.

This athletics event offers multiple race distances including a half marathon (21,097 m), 10 km, 5 km, and various youth categories with distances from approximately 500 m to 5,000 m, as well as a popular walk of about 7,000 m. It is open to all athletes, both federated and non-federated.

The event features classifications by gender, age groups including juniors, seniors, and veterans (40+), and team competitions. The courses run through the main streets of Bragança, with well-marked routes and aid stations. The race atmosphere is competitive and inclusive, with awards ceremonies and special prizes for various categories.
