Event summary

Terra de Gigantes (15 – 18 Jan 2026) is Portugal’s longest trail-running race: an ultra-endurance odyssey of 303.8 km through the raw granite peaks, frozen passes and deep valleys of Serra da Estrela. Starting at 11:00 on the summit road to Torre, athletes have four winter days and nights to cross a brutally technical course that demands total autonomy, sharp strategy and unbreakable resolve. Co-organised by Horizontes Turismo Desportivo e Viagens and Associação Interior Convida, the event is reserved for elite and highly-experienced ultrarunners seeking a transformative mountain experience rather than a simple finish-time.
