Ultra Trail Serra da Freita

The Passeio Pedestre GF Serra da Estrela 2026 is a walking event taking place on June 28, 2026, in Seia, Portugal. This interpretive walk covers a distance of approximately 8.9 km with a moderate difficulty level and a 380m elevation gain. The route is circular, starting and finishing at the Câmara Municipal de Seia.

The event is open to all residents and companions of athletes participating in the Granfondo Serra da Estrela cycling races, welcoming participants aged 10 and older (minors must be accompanied by an adult). It offers a unique opportunity to explore rural and forest trails on the slopes of Seia, enriched by guided interpretation from the Associação Geopark Estrela, showcasing the natural and cultural heritage of the Serra da Estrela region.

The atmosphere is relaxed and educational, focusing on community and nature appreciation rather than competition. Participants receive a kit including a commemorative t-shirt, water, and other gifts, making the experience both enjoyable and memorable.

The 3rd Corrida do Egas Moniz is a running event taking place on June 28, 2026, in Penafiel – Paço de Sousa, Portugal. It features two race distances: 5 km and 10 km, plus a 5 km solidarity walk open to all ages and non-competitive.

The races are open to male and female participants in various age categories from 18 years and older, including senior and veteran divisions. The event is designed as a festive sports celebration, promoting health and quality of life, with part of the registration fees supporting local volunteer firefighters and the organizing football club.

All races start and finish near the Mosteiro do Salvador de Paço de Sousa, offering a community-centered atmosphere with awards, medals, technical t-shirts, and a post-race snack for all participants. The event also includes team awards and encourages clubs and associations to participate.

Participants will enjoy themed dinners, parties, a live DJ, and fun sunset sessions by the pool — all ending each day with a magnificent sunset providing truly special moments.

The 2nd Edition of the Eco Meia Maratona do Lizandro is a running event scheduled for June 21, 2026, in Carvoeira, Mafra. It features three distances: the Eco Half Marathon (21.120 km), the Eco Mini Marathon (12 km), and an Eco Walk (12 km), making it accessible to a wide range of participants including those who prefer a leisure walk.

Open to all athletes aged 18 and over, the event offers competitive races as well as a non-competitive walking option, promoting the sport for all ages. The race courses are set in mostly natural terrain with magnificent landscapes along the Lizandro River, providing a unique and scenic experience for participants.

The atmosphere is inclusive and community-oriented, supported by the local parish council of Carvoeira, with awards for top finishers in overall and age categories, as well as team competitions. The event starts and finishes near the Igreja da Senhora do Ó church, contributing to a festive and well-organized race day environment.
