Trilhos Nossa Senhora do AR is a multi-discipline outdoor event taking place on February 1, 2026, in Vila Chã, Alijó, Vila Real. It offers three main routes: a 30 km BTT (mountain bike) ride, a 12 km trail run, and a 12 km walk, all suitable for a wide range of participants, including those from age 8 upwards for walking, 15 years and older for biking, and 16 years and older for trail running.

This event is open to the public without the need for a license, encouraging nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy a day of adventure, sport, and cultural heritage. The routes start and finish at the Aeródromo da Chã and traverse a variety of forest trails, unpaved roads, and public roads, offering a unique blend of natural landscapes and local villages. The environment requires attention due to shared use with vehicles and animals, enhancing the challenge and authenticity of the experience.

The atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive, emphasizing enjoyment and respect for nature, with a focus on safety and community spirit. Awards are given in general classifications for both trail and BTT, as well as special prizes in walking categories, including for the most veteran and youngest participants, and even for participants bringing dogs or showing style.

The Trail Manuelino 2026 is a trail running event scheduled for January 31 and February 1, 2026, in Abiul, Pombal, Portugal. It features three competitive trail races (32 km, 18 km, and 12 km) and a 12 km walk, with an additional 1.5 km Trail Kids race, offering options for various levels of trail enthusiasts. The event is open to participants aged 18 and over for the main trail races, with younger runners allowed in the kids’ category under adult supervision and with a responsibility waiver.

The 32 km and 18 km races are part of the Leiria District Athletics Association (ADAL) Trail Circuit and the Portuguese Trail Running Association’s Trail and Trail Sprint Series 100, attracting competitive athletes. The course traverses technical trails, paths, and regional tracks in a picturesque valley surrounded by hills at the foot of the Serra do Sicó, blending green mountainous landscapes with historical village charm.

The event has a family-friendly atmosphere with a variety of distances including a kids’ race and a walk, making it suitable for all ages and levels. The race day includes briefing sessions, transfers to start points, and a prize ceremony, ensuring a well-organized and festive experience for participants and supporters.

The Trail Santa Iria 2026 is a trail running event scheduled for February 1, 2026, in Gondomar, Portugal. It offers three distances: a Long Trail of 23 km with 1100 m positive elevation gain, a Short Trail of 13 km with 600 m elevation gain, and a 10 km walk. The event is open to participants aged 18+ for the long trail, 16+ for the short trail, and 16+ or accompanied minors for the walk, welcoming both amateur and experienced trail runners.

This race is organized by Associação Branzelo Ativo and features a semi-autonomous format with aid stations providing liquids and solids along the routes. The courses run through natural and varied terrain near the village of Branzelo, offering challenging elevation and beautiful landscapes. The atmosphere is community-oriented and competitive, with podium awards for top finishers and team categories, creating a festive and motivating environment for all participants.

Additional activities include a 10 km walk suitable for families and less competitive participants, making the Trail Santa Iria an inclusive outdoor event that caters to a broad range of trail enthusiasts and nature lovers.

The Cabanão Trail 2026, organised by Clube Domus Nostra, will take place on 1 February 2026 at the club’s headquarters. This trail running event celebrates sport in nature and strengthens community engagement.
This edition features two competitive races and one recreational activity:

• 21 km Trail, part of the ATRP National Trail Sprint Circuit – Serie 100

• 14 km Trail, included in the CDTRC – Coimbra District Trail Running Circuit

• 10 km Walk, a recreational, non-competitive activity open to all participants

The competitive races are open to both federated and non-federated athletes. Minimum age requirements apply: 18 years old for the 21 km Trail, and 16 years old for the 14 km Trail (minors must provide a parental consent form). This approach broadens participation and welcomes runners of different experience levels.

The course is fully marked and follows natural trails, respecting private and agricultural properties while promoting environmental responsibility. The event offers an inclusive and friendly atmosphere, with individual and team rankings, awards for top athletes, and a special prize for the fastest final kilometre.
The 10 km Walk provides a lighter and family-friendly option, making the event suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
