The Ansião Gravel Race Challenge will host the 2025 Portuguese National Gravel Championship on September 14, 2025, at the Estádio Municipal de Ansião, in central Portugal.
This prestigious race brings together the nation’s best licensed cyclists, combining gravel, road, and off-road biking in a demanding, scenic format. The race is part of the UVP/FPC (Portuguese Cycling Federation) calendar and is open to Portuguese nationals holding a competition or CPT license. Non-licensed riders can also join in a separate “Open” category with specific regulations.
Set in the heart of the Sicó region, the course explores the rustic charm of Ansião, blending historical, natural, and gastronomic richness with a growing passion for off-road cycling.
With elite, master, para-cyclist, and open categories, the race is suited for experienced riders across all adult age groups. The event atmosphere is both competitive and celebratory, supported by the Ansibikers community.
The 3rd edition of the Taça Oeste XCM BTT is a non-competitive, amateur mountain bike marathon series composed of 5 stages in the Oeste region of Portugal. Open to riders aged 18 and over, it welcomes both conventional MTB and e-bike cyclists. The event values inclusivity and camaraderie while still providing time tracking and general classifications, especially for those in the Marathon category.
Participants can choose between the Marathon (~60km) or Half Marathon (~40km) distances, with various age-based categories available for both male and female riders. The terrain consists of scenic rural trails and unpaved roads, promising a technical but rewarding ride through the countryside.
Each stage contributes to an overall cup ranking, with the best 4 results out of 5 counting toward the final standings. The event is non-licensed, with insurance included, making it suitable for amateur enthusiasts, while still offering monetary prizes and podium recognition to top performers.
The São Mamede BTT – Portalegre returns for its 2025 edition on the weekend of September 13–14, offering a scenic and challenging ride through the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park. Organized by the Associação de Desporto e Aventura de Portalegre (DAP), the event showcases the region’s natural beauty, local gastronomy, and historic trails via two distance options: a 60 km Marathon and a 35 km Half-Marathon.

A non-competitive MTB adventure across the scenic rural trails of Castro Verde and neighboring regions, the I Maratona BTT Campo Branco is organized by the Núcleo Sporting Clube de Portugal de Castro Verde / Campaniços Sobre Rodas.
