    The 7th edition of Ride Across Portugal® takes place from May 10 to 17, 2026, offering an unforgettable 7-day road cycling adventure through the heart of Portugal. This exclusive stage event covers 770 km over 6 stages, showcasing the country’s diverse landscapes — from the northern mountains to the southern coastline.

    Combining sport, culture, and hospitality, the event attracts passionate cyclists from around the world. With first-class logistics, premium accommodation, and on-road support, Ride Across Portugal® is a non-competitive experience with timed segments—ideal for serious amateur cyclists seeking a truly premium cycling journey.

    🗺️ Stages
    🏔️ Stage 1 – The Mountains and the Douro River
    📍 Douro – Guarda | 119KM | 2230m D+
    Begins on the world-famous N222 road through the scenic Douro Valley, ending in Guarda, the highest city in Portugal.

    🗻 Stage 2 – Conquering the Highest Point in Mainland Portugal
    📍 Guarda – Covilhã | 107KM | 2550m D+
    Climbs to Alto da Torre (1,993m), the highest point on mainland Portugal, followed by a stunning descent into Covilhã.

    🌄 Stage 3 – From the Mountains to the Lowlands
    📍 Covilhã – Alter do Chão | 165KM | 1730m D+
    Crosses into the Alentejo through scenic hills and the majestic Tagus River at Portas do Rodão. Ends at the historic Royal Stud Farm.

    🍷 Stage 4 – Alentejo, the Portuguese Tuscany
    📍 Alter do Chão – Évora | 96KM | 800m D+
    A cultural ride through cork oak-lined roads and wheat fields, ending in the UNESCO city of Évora.

    🔥 Stage 5 – The Super Stage
    📍 Évora – Monchique | 193KM | 1840m D+
    The longest and one of the most epic stages. Finishes with the climb to Monchique, entering the Algarve mountains.

    🌊 Stage 6 – The Mountain, the River, and the Ocean
    📍 Monchique – Porches | 57KM | 560m D+
    A celebratory stage with coastal views and a finish at the cliffside Chapel of Senhora da Rocha — the perfect end to this unforgettable journey.

  • UMPK 2026

    UMPK 2026

    The UltraMaratona – Pão de Kilo (UMPK) 2026 is a mountain bike and gravel endurance event taking place on May 23, 2026, in Batalha, Leiria, Portugal. The race offers three challenging distances: the UMPK150MILHAS (150 miles / 241 km), UMPK150 (150 km), and UMPK100 (100 km), each with significant elevation gains and multiple aid stations providing liquids and solids approximately every 30 km.

    Open to all cyclists including MTB, gravel, and e-bikes (except for the UMPK150MILHAS which prohibits e-bikes), the event is non-competitive but includes official classification with GPS tracking for route validation. The course features demanding terrain across scenic rural and natural areas, requiring full adherence to traffic laws and respectful coexistence with agricultural and leisure users.

    The race atmosphere blends endurance challenge with community spirit, complemented by a kids’ zone with mini-autodrome and inflatables, and a festive closing party. With limited entries for each distance, this event is designed for passionate cyclists seeking to test their limits in a unique setting.

  • HELL160

    HELL160

    The HELL160-Shadows and Dust is an ultra-endurance trail running event taking place on July 3-5, 2026, in A do Pinto, Serpa, Beja, Portugal. This race features demanding distances of approximately 164.62 km for the HELL160 and 104 km for the HELL100, offering various competition formats including solo, duos, teams, relays, and a bike category.

    The race welcomes athletes aged 18 and above, requiring no license but a medical certificate and signed responsibility term. The courses are circular and follow the GR15 trail and left bank of the Guadiana River, passing through a mix of estradões, paved segments, and montado trails with significant elevation gain and loss, making it a challenging and scenic endurance experience.

    The event is more than just a race; it is a tribute to the people of Alentejo and the spirit of ultra-resilience. The atmosphere blends cultural festivities, including a gastronomic and musical festival, with the competitive spirit of ultra-endurance athletics, fostering a unique and inspiring environment for participants and spectators alike.
