    Encontro de Grupos de Corrida e Caminhada

    The Encontro de Grupos de Corrida e Caminhada 2025 will take place on September 28 at Parque Municipal Quinta do Engenho Novo, in Paços de Brandão (Santa Maria da Feira). This is a free, non-competitive event organized by the Santa Maria da Feira Municipality, the Paços de Brandão Parish Council, and the Brandoenses Running group.

    Open to all ages and fitness levels, the event aims to promote sports participation and community bonding. Participants can choose between a 10 km run (with three different pace groups) and a 6 km walk that explores local points of interest.

    All groups will be accompanied by designated guides. The route will be marked, supported by water stations, and monitored for safety. The atmosphere is informal, relaxed, and family-friendly.

  • Meia Maratona do Algarve

    Meia Maratona do Algarve

    The Meia Maratona do Algarve / Mamamaratona is one of the Algarve’s most symbolic running events, combining sport, health awareness, and community spirit. Taking place in the beautiful coastal town of Quarteira on October 19, 2025, the event offers two competitive distances: a 21.1 km FPA-certified half marathon and a 10.5 km mini marathon.

    Organized by the Municipality of Loulé and the Associação de Atletismo do Algarve, in partnership with the Associação Oncológica do Algarve, the race also carries a charitable cause: €2 from every registration is donated to the AOA in support of cancer prevention and awareness programs.

    With a flat seaside course starting and finishing at Passeio das Dunas in Vilamoura, runners will enjoy a fast and scenic route, perfect for achieving personal bests or simply celebrating the joy of running with hundreds of other athletes.
