The Évora 21.27 Half Marathon is one of the most emblematic road running events in Portugal, taking place in the historical city of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Organized by the Évora City Council, the 2025 edition will be held on the weekend of November 22 and 23, featuring four different races that cater to a wide range of participants:
Évora Meia Maratona (21.1 km)
Évora 10 Km
Évora Caminhada (5 km walk)
Run Kids (for children aged 3 to 12)
Each event will start and finish in the heart of Évora, at Praça do Giraldo, offering a scenic and historic backdrop for participants and spectators alike.
The Trail do Trabulo is a trail running event hosted by the Municipality of Sátão, taking runners through scenic and historic landmarks in the region. The course includes river crossings (bridges and stepping stones over the Vouga), religious heritage sites, and technical trails with impressive views like the Serra de S. Matias.
Open to participants 18 years and older, the event offers a mix of physical challenge and cultural experience. All races start and finish at Praia Fluvial do Trabulo — a highlight of the region — and the total participant limit is 900.
On November 23, 2025, the picturesque village of São Torcato in Guimarães hosts the Trail Vila de S. Torcato — a mountain running event that winds through rural paths, forest trails, and scenic hills. This trail-running competition welcomes all levels of athletes with four course options: the Long Trail (28km), Sprint Trail (18km), Mini Trail (12km for youth), and an 8km non-competitive hike. The event fosters community participation while maintaining the spirit of trail running, combining technical challenges with natural beauty. The race is part of the regional trail calendar and adheres to ATRP guidelines.
The 3rd Corrida dos Paraquedistas takes place on November 23, 2025, at the Regimento de Paraquedistas in Tancos, Portugal. Organized by Associação A Minha Corrida with technical support from Xistarca, the event includes a 10 km competitive run, a 5 km walk, and a Kids race (300 m). The route passes key military landmarks such as the Brigada de Reação Rápida Command. The event promotes sportsmanship, fitness, and community participation in a unique military setting, welcoming both civilians and military athletes. Prizes are awarded across multiple age categories and genders, with medals for all finishers.
The first edition of the São Silvestre Cidade Palco de Natal will take place on November 29, 2025, at 9:00 PM in Santa Maria da Feira, with both the start and finish located at Parque Condes de Fijó. This night-time event offers a unique atmosphere, featuring a course beautifully illuminated by the city’s enchanting Christmas decorations, immersed in the magic of Perlim. The event blends festive spirit with sporting challenge and includes two races: a 10 km run and a 5 km walk.
Trilho dos Linces 2025 takes place in the Alvão mountains, Vila Real, offering a challenging and scenic trail running experience. Organised by the Linces do Marão team, the event includes five race formats for all levels — from the technical 50KM ultra to a 12KM solidarity walk.
Runners will pass through local villages and rugged trails, supported by local councils and the community.
The Merrell Trail Running Series 2025/26 is a five-stage trail running circuit taking place between November 2025 and April 2026 across scenic locations in the Lisbon district. Organized by Trail4U, the series offers Short Trail and Long Trail distances in each event, welcoming trail runners aged 16+ (Short Trail) and 18+ (Long Trail).
The races are designed to promote sportsmanship, environmental responsibility, and the natural beauty of the Lisbon area. Each race is independent, but runners and teams accumulate points toward the final circuit classification.

The Trilho dos Cágados will return on December 1, 2025, in Vila Chã de Ourique (Santarém), offering athletes and walkers an authentic trail experience with distances for all levels. Organized by Trilho dos Cágados VCO, the event combines community spirit, challenging trails, and a festive atmosphere.
Participants can choose between the 26 km Long Trail, the 18 km Short Trail, the 12 km Mini Trail, or a 12 km Easy Walk. With varied routes featuring elevation gains between 205 m and 1,150 m, the courses take runners through rural and natural landscapes, supported by well-placed aid stations.
This event is more than just a race — it’s a day of sport and celebration. All entries include a post-race lunch, and runners will enjoy a safe, supportive environment backed by local volunteers.
