The Poiares Adventure Race 2025 is an adrenaline-filled multisport event taking place on September 20, in Vila Nova de Poiares. This unique team-based challenge blends kayaking, trail running, and mountain biking, all within a stunning natural landscape.
Teams of two will compete in a circular course starting and finishing at Louredo Natura Parque, navigating through 4km of kayaking, 12km of trail running, and 25km of BTT. It’s an intense yet fun opportunity to push physical and mental boundaries, celebrate teamwork, and enjoy scenic views across central Portugal.
Open to athletes aged 16+, the race promotes inclusivity with male, female, and mixed teams all welcome. It’s a one-day challenge designed to test limits, build camaraderie, and create unforgettable memories.
Dive into one of Portugal’s most iconic coastal triathlons: the Sines Triathlon, taking place on September 21, 2025, along the stunning Sines Bay. This middle-distance triathlon (2km swim • 80km bike • 18km run) offers both individual and relay participation, making it ideal for endurance athletes and mixed-level teams alike.
Organized by HMS Sports with the support of the Sines City Council and certified by the Portuguese Triathlon Federation, this event combines a fast, scenic coastal route with a world-class athlete experience.

Loulé welcomes the next generation of triathletes in the II Triatlo Jovem de Loulé, part of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo Youth Championship. The event brings together young athletes for a day of sport, camaraderie, and development, in a safe and inclusive atmosphere. With age-adapted distances and a focus on participation, it’s a cornerstone of youth triathlon in the region.

The IV Triatlo Verde de Paredes will take place on September 27, 2025, at Parque Verde da Cidade de Paredes. Organized by Associação Paredes Aventura and the Municipality of Paredes, with technical support from the Portuguese Triathlon Federation (FTP), the event includes:
Campeonato Norte Jovem (Youth North Championship) – off-road triathlon (swim, MTB, run) with distances adapted to each youth category.
Open Race – off-road triathlon open to participants born in 2007 or earlier, using Juvenile distances.
The event features scenic routes through Parque Verde, combining swimming at the Piscina Verde with mixed-surface cycling and a flat asphalt run along Avenida Granja da Fonseca. It is both competitive and family-friendly, with individual and relay formats available.
The Triatlo Jovem de Águeda is part of the North Regional Youth Championship, offering young athletes a structured and competitive space to experience triathlon. With age-appropriate distances and a focus on development, this event encourages active participation and introduces youth to the discipline of multisport in a safe and motivating environment.

Cascais, Portugal, becomes the epicenter of long-distance triathlon when IRONMAN Portugal hosts both the iconic full-distance IRONMAN and the IRONMAN 70.3 on the same weekend. Athletes will take on the Atlantic swim in the sheltered Ribeira Beach, race through a scenic but challenging bike course fully closed to traffic, and finish with a flat and vibrant run along the Cascais coastline. The event attracts professionals chasing podiums and World Championship slots, as well as age-groupers seeking the ultimate endurance challenge. With a festive atmosphere, an international field, and world-class organization, it’s one of Europe’s most celebrated IRONMAN weekends.
The XI Triatlo de Albufeira is part of the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo regional championship, offering athletes a chance to compete in a warm coastal setting. With its picturesque views, supportive atmosphere, and challenging layout, the race is a highlight of the southern triathlon calendar.
