🕗 Start: 08:00 — Carcavelos
⏱️ Time limit: 6 hours
👥 Participants: approx. 15,000 runners
💫 Hyundai Lisbon Half Marathon
📅 Sunday, 26 October 2025
🕤 Start: 09:20 — Vasco da Gama Bridge
⏱️ Time limit: 3 hours
👥 Participants: approx. 11,000 runners
Both races finish at Praça do Comércio, Lisbon’s iconic riverside square — one of the most beautiful finish lines in Europe. 🇵🇹
🗺️ Race Course
The Marathon (42.195 km) starts in Carcavelos and follows the stunning Avenida Marginal, running along the Atlantic coast through Oeiras, Algés, and Belém, before reaching central Lisbon.
Expect ocean views, a smooth profile, and plenty of crowd support along the way — perfect for a PB or a scenic run.
The Half Marathon (21.1 km) begins on the Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest in Europe, offering incredible views over the Tagus River and Lisbon’s skyline.
The course descends toward the riverside, joining the marathon route for the final kilometres to Praça do Comércio.
💡 Both routes are fast, flat, and officially certified, ideal for personal bests or for simply enjoying the experience.
💧 Aid Stations & Support
Throughout the course, runners will find:
- Vitalis water, Powerade, 226ERS gels, Bananas da Madeira, Mimosa protein milk, and even Olá ice cream 🍌🍦
- Aid stations every 5 km
- Cooling showers (km 21, 32, and 37.5 on the Marathon; km 10 and 18 on the Half)
- Medical and WC facilities along the route

🌤️ Weather Conditions
Late October in Lisbon brings mild, ideal running weather: 15°C to 22°C, usually sunny with a light ocean breeze.
☀️ Note: Clocks go back one hour on Sunday, 26 October (end of daylight saving time).
🚆 Getting to the Start
Marathon:
📍 Start: Carcavelos (Estrada N6-7)
- Free CP train ride from Cais do Sodré to Carcavelos with your bib.
- First trains depart at 05:30, last recommended arrival before 07:20.
- Bag transport provided at the start area.
Half Marathon:
📍 Start: Vasco da Gama Bridge
- Access only via official buses from Gare do Oriente (departing from 06:30).
- No private or pedestrian access to the bridge.
- Public transport (Carris, Metro, CP) is free for participants with their bib.
